In June 2025 Prensa Libre reported two Korean textile anchors at Michatoya Pacífico: Hansae, with US$25 M, 500,000 m² and 8,000–10,000 direct jobs, starting in 2026; and ShinWon, with US$12.5 M, 250,000 m² and 4,000 jobs. The master plan's total projection is 90,000 jobs over some 15 years. The Hansae and ShinWon amounts were verified against Prensa Libre (27 June 2025) in the audit of 2026-08-19; the employment figures are announced projections, not jobs created.

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
