The model is an own well plus a mandatory treatment plant under AG 236-2006. The weaving-dyeing-finishing cluster (Villa Nueva, Mixco, the Pacific highway) operates in the Amatitlán basin on groundwater self-supply; the sector documents new 2024 investments in spinning mills, textiles and dyeing (Vestex; PRONACOM). Compliance context: only about 25% of Villa Nueva's roughly 150 treatment plants were working properly in 2017, and the Villalobos still receives 2.5 m³/s of wastewater; the '92% non-compliance' figure was withdrawn in the audit for want of a source. The ESG differential for an entrant is large and visible.

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
