The verified archive
Every published figure comes out of a provenance store: who published it, which period it covers, when it was retrieved and how it was verified. A datum that fails its checks is not published — uncertainty is declared, never filled in. Corrections enter through a revision ledger that keeps every prior version: nothing is silently overwritten.
Freshness and failure
Every indicator family has an expected cadence — the exchange rate is daily, the CPI monthly, GDP quarterly — and a grace window that reflects each institution's real publishing calendar. A series that misses its window is flagged stale and keeps its last verified value: never interpolated, never zero-filled, never silently switched to another source.
The pipelines
Ingestion runs every morning at 6:30 (Guatemala time) from GitHub Actions: it reads the official sources, checks what is new against per-series tolerances, and publishes a snapshot of the store whose version chain is itself the backup. A failure is loud twice — email and a public incident record — and the site serves the previous day's data in the meantime.
In depth
The analysis-and-context layer is read from public sources by the archive's own team: every claim carries its citation and the date it was consulted, and pieces marked audited passed an adversarial check against the primary source. Nothing from this layer enters the verified archive without passing its checks; until then, every surface that shows it says so.
