ZOLIC is the state free zone adjacent to the port of Santo Tomás de Castilla, Izabal, created by Decree 22-73. Wikipedia (an English-language stub) credits it with 22,000 m² of warehousing and 53,000 m² of open yard, with operations beginning in 1981; those figures and that year contradict the 1973 legal creation and must be verified against ZOLIC's annual report. Its 2026 status (current warehouse m², occupancy) was not found. Institutional contact: (502) 7961-5460, infomercadeo@zolicguate.com.
The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
