AmCham (the Guatemalan-American Chamber of Commerce) approved its bylaws on 23 May 1967 and was the first AmCham founded in Central America; it has more than 500 members, 16 of them in the Leadership Circle program. Services: networking and business facilitation, government relations, sector committees, commercial information, a job board and publications; corporate, individual and international memberships (the last for companies with no physical office in Guatemala). Leadership in 2026: president Rodolfo Sáenz (United Airlines) and executive director Waleska Sterkel de Ortiz. In July 2026 AmCham circulated a projection of 4% economic growth by 2027, with a warning about the pre-election year.
