FUNDESA and its role in attracting investment

FUNDESA (the Foundation for the Development of Guatemala) is the private technical secretariat of the 'Guatemala No Se Detiene' agenda (economic commission) and organizes ENADE, the national meeting of business leaders. It publishes the 'Investor welcome pack', a country guide in PDF, and the Local Competitiveness Index (ICL) of municipal rankings. At ENADE 2025 it reported that Guatemala attracted US$867.5 million of FDI in the first half of 2025, a figure taken from the press (Prensa Libre) that is worth checking against Banguat. FUNDESA sits alongside AGEXPORT and CACIF in the governance of Invest Guatemala.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
