The National Competitiveness Program (PRONACOM) was created by Government Agreement 306-2004 and amended by Agreements 21-2008, 39-2016 and 192-2016. It is a participatory public-private-academic program focused on competitiveness, investment and formal employment, and it gives technical support to investment promotion. Its activities are governed by the National Competitiveness Policy 2018-2032, approved by Government Agreement 103-2018 of 11 June 2018. The name of PRONACOM's current director was not found in sources dated 2025-2026.
