Average monthly labour income and the urban-rural gap
- Workforce, education and talent
- The labor force, in numbers
- Audited
Average monthly labor income was Q2,713 in April–June 2025, after Q2,592 in Q4 2024 and Q2,718 in Q1 2025 (INE, ENEIC Bulletin No. 1). The territorial gap is wide: in Q2 2025 the metropolitan urban domain averaged Q3,901, the rest of urban Guatemala Q2,772 and rural areas around Q1,986. The annual series in the full ENEIC publication shows Q2,207 (2021), Q2,850 (2022), Q2,409 (2023, from ENCOVI) and Q2,538 (2024). This is an average across the whole economy, informal work included, and not a formal wage by occupation; the dossier proposes adding it as the indicator eneic_ingreso_laboral_promedio_gtq.
The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
