INE publishes quarterly rates in ENEIC Bulletin No. 1. Overall participation (PEA/working-age population): 67.1% in Q4 2024, 65.6% in Q1 2025 and 65.6% in Q2 2025. Open unemployment: 1.7%, 2.3% and 2.2% over the same quarters. Visible underemployment: 14.8%, 13.4% and 13.9%. Informality: 66.7%, 66.1% and 66.2%. The specific employment rate (employed/PEA) was 98.3%, 97.7% and 97.8%, and the gross employment rate (employed/working-age population) 65.9%, 64.1% and 64.1%. Low open unemployment coexists with informality covering two thirds of the employed; these rates already exist in the file as verified eneic_* indicators.
