On 23 March 2026 Yazaki North America announced a second plant in Pajapita, San Marcos, some 7 km from Ayutla: 35,000 m², around 3,500 jobs at full capacity, start-up scheduled for September 2027 and harnesses for the Ford F-150. The corporate release does not specify an amount; the US$250 million figure and the plant's own ZDEEP status come from República and must be verified with ZOLIC (the page consulted returned 404) and MINECO/VUI. The details in the release (floor area, jobs, date) were verified with no discrepancies in the audit of 19 August 2026.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
