Not without an explanation. The 2017-2023 and early-2024 figures come from private-sector spokespeople (Ana Beatriz Herrera, who monitors about 12,000 units; CGTC) and refer to "thefts" or "containers" with no published definition; those from April 2024 onwards are "PNC statistics" cited in the same report. A collapse of roughly 100× coincides with the change of source and possibly of legal classification (completed theft vs attempt; whole truck vs cargo). Until the PNC series and its definition can be obtained — there is no public dataset; the candidate route is a freedom-of-information request to the Ministry of the Interior (Mingob) — the table documents a press account, not a datum (contradiction #31 in the index).
The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.
