There are only tier c references (blogs and suppliers), all pending verification. A roofing sheet supplier (Lámina KR18) estimates for 2025: prefabricated steel structure US$80–150/m², reinforced concrete US$200–350/m² and hybrid US$130–250/m². A sector blog (Living in Guatemala) puts the general construction range at Q3,000–5,500/m², with industrial projects up to ~Q9,000/m². Espacio Chapín attributes to the Guatemalan Construction Chamber (CGC) a cost structure per m² of ~45% materials, 35% labor and 20% overhead and profit, to be checked against a CGC publication. The CGC, founded in 1971, publishes periodic reports on material and labor costs, but its site exposes no downloadable public series; it has to be requested. The only official reference is INE's IPMC.

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
