The pattern in Guatemala is that the multilaterals lend through the banks (on-lending to smaller firms) or to large corporates with a green or social agenda. A mid-sized project reaches that money through local banks, not directly — except for tickets of US$50 million or more with an ESG record, such as Pantaleón, CMI or Energuate. Proparco and LAGreen co-invested in the BAC + Positivo bond, and JICA and FinDev Canada in BI's green package. No operation by the EIB (European Investment Bank) was found in the country, although Guatemala is eligible under its external mandate; from KEXIM (Korea) there are only global textile supply-chain programs (purchase of receivables from Korean suppliers to Gap for up to US$30 M), with no country operation identified.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
