According to the central bank's (Banguat) short-term economic indicators, bank credit to the private sector stood at Q426,755.3 million as of 6 August 2026 (+4.3% versus December 2025) and at Q428,023.5 million as of 13 August 2026 (+4.6% against Q409,087.1 million as of 31 December 2025). As of 6 August 2026, Q314,091.4 million (~74%) was in local currency and Q112,663.9 million (~26%) in foreign currency; as of 13 August the figures were Q315,383.1 M and Q112,640.5 M.
