In the institutional foreign-exchange market, purchases of foreign currency for private capital loans totalled US$17,687.4 million from 1 January to 6 August 2026 (+12.4% year on year) and US$18,121.1 million as of 13 August 2026 (+12.6%); sales for amortization payments came to US$23,253.1 million as of 6 August. The dossier reads this as a private sector rolling over very large volumes of short-term external debt, which is useful for sizing the cross-border funding available. The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
