As a global benchmark, the World Bank's Enterprise Surveys (131 countries, 2005-2017) record that 77% of loans require collateral and that the median value of collateral relative to the loan is 60%. The Guatemala-specific cut is on enterprisesurveys.org and was not extracted by the dossier; typical loan-to-value practice for mortgage or pledge lending by bank is likewise unpublished and would require interviews or rate schedules.

The research is written in English; quoted figures, source names and the titles of legal instruments stay in the language their source published them in.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
