Recent IFC operations in Guatemala: a US$850 million package for Banco Industrial for micro, small and medium-sized firms (11 February 2026: US$100 M of own-account subordinated loan plus US$750 M in subordinated notes placed in the market, the first 'C/B Loan' for a financial institution, with orders above US$2,800 M); US$770 million for Energuate (US$100 M direct plus US$670 M through an international bond, an 'A/B Bond' structure, 20 October 2025); US$415 million for Banco Industrial alongside JICA and FinDev Canada (IFC 190 / JICA 150 / FinDev 75, 22 September 2025) for green building, climate-smart agriculture, housing and women-led firms; US$230 million for BAC Guatemala (12 May 2026); and G&T Continental's sustainable DPR of up to US$200 M (approved 16 December 2025, disbursed 28 January 2026). Total exposure of ~US$3,200 million, 'the largest in Central America', circulates in the press but does not appear in the IFC releases that were reopened — to be confirmed.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
