The Labor Code (Decree 1441) sets the day shift (6:00–18:00) at a maximum of 8 hours a day and 48 a week; the night shift (18:00–6:00) at 6 hours a day and 36 a week; and the mixed shift at 7 hours a day and 42 a week (summary by PeersLegal). The Constitution, article 102(g), establishes 44 effective hours a week 'equivalent to 48 for the sole purpose of wage payment', a difference the dossier flags for reconciliation against the official text of article 116 of the Code in the data phase. For an investor, the key operational point is that the legal night shift is only 6 hours.
