Temporary investor residency (Code article 75 d); IGM-016-2025 article 17) requires applicants to 'demonstrate that they form part of one or more commercial entities and/or invest in the acquisition of movable or immovable property, in an amount of one hundred thousand dollars' (US$100,000). Documents: a notarial deed stating the activity and term, registry certificates, securities, invoices for property, plant and equipment, and the source of funds; dependants follow the migrant worker rules; renewal requires documented continuity. Term 1–5 years, fees US$200/300/500 (dossier 12). A nuance: the 2022 regulation said 'greater than one hundred thousand dollars'; the 2025 text says 'in an amount of one hundred thousand dollars', so exactly US$100,000 is admissible. In practice it is marginal: 2 investor residencies (0.09%) in ~9 months according to the IGM statement covering 3,532 residencies.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
