- Tourism, hospitality and residency
- Arrivals, markets and air connectivity
- Audited
Mundo Maya airport (Flores, Petén) handled 390,584 passengers in 2025, +37% against 2023 according to DGAC (the 2023 value of ≈284,365 is derived from the percentage, not quoted). Between January and May 2026 it recorded 179,422 passengers (+63,035 against the same period of 2023), ≈1,200 passengers a day, with 162 staff (+33%); VOR/Glide Slope, scanners and a fire crew were installed with partial World Bank funding. A contradiction the dossier flags: the INGUAT bulletin for May 2025 records only 7 non-resident visitors through Mundo Maya in the month — the airport carries domestic traffic; its internationalisation is a project, not an operating reality.

This layer is research: read from public sources by the archive's own team, every claim cited with the date it was consulted, and audited where it is marked so. It has not entered the verified store — no figure here was fetched back from its source or stamped with a retrieval time — so it wears no red provenance numeral and never mixes with the verified figures.
