The foreign tourist's daily spend is US$101.82 per person, with an average stay of 5.25 nights (INGUAT figures current to 2023); there is no later figure, nor any sourced figure for the domestic tourist. In the first quarter of 2026 card spending by international visitors exceeded US$142.2 M (+13%) across more than 2.8 M transactions, with the United States contributing US$78.5 M (INGUAT/Visa via DCA). The director of INGUAT said in November 2025 that the original target of US$150 a day had been 'amply exceeded', with an updated analysis still pending. Tourism contributed Q51.8 billion (5.4% of GDP) and 556,000 jobs in 2025, with a projection of Q55 billion (5.6%) in 2026; the WTTC projects +130,000 jobs over a decade. The derivation US$1,390.2 M ÷ 3.36 M ≈ US$414 per visitor is the dossier's own calculation and is not citable.
